volky.eth 👋 more context on prop 773
The plan is: I'll do a lot of work upfront to update nouns.wtf + nouns.center, tidy up the codebase and modernize the tooling, dependencies and contribution practices. The long term vision is to rely mostly on community contributions, with a slim part-time guild of core contributors that take care of chores, integrating contributions and ensuring the health of the infrastructure.
I'm asking for $2k to seed a bounty program
Funds will be kept in a 2/3 multisig with volky.eth + DUNA admins (satori.wtf, indexcard.eth)
I'll be using https://dework.xyz/ to assign bounties to some issues and to bootstrap the community contributions process. Will include both code & content contributions.
To be kicked off after the contribution process and guidelines are established.
Nouns.wtf is the #1 onboarding touchpoint for Nouns, and it's broken and outdated
We have to fix it, and to ensure it never goes stale like that again.
We've got a ton of extremely talented developers in Nouns. They mostly work on their own things, though, and usually build most of it from scratch.
We should leverage that talent to improve our core infrastructure and reduce the amount of redundant work by maintaining tooling and infra that serves the whole Nouns ecosystem.
That way we can have better clients, more vibe-coded experiments, more fun, less boilerplate...all of that while being more conservative with treasury usage in comparison to funding a lot of isolated initiatives.
