tldr: we did not request funding for tech costs in our previous proposal, and need help paying for growing AI usage.
We're seeing incredible impact and onboarding happening through flows.wtf. Check the channel on Farcaster.
Our previous proposal in November requested funding for 4 months to pay myself and riderway each $10k a month to work on flows full time. We did not add any budget for tech costs because we were comfortable paying a few hundred bucks a month for different software services. Since then, our AI usage has grown substantially.
We are using AI to:
The builder experience and fraud prevention has improved drastically thanks to AI. However, our tech costs have reached a level that is meaningfully eating into our salaries.
We spent over a week of dev hours optimizing for cost, but feel like spending time beyond that is a waste in the face of cheaper models coming soon + general opportunity cost. I'm requesting $3k a month for the year to help us cover these costs.
I wish I had been able to foresee this so we could spare everyone having to vote on a new proposal so soon. My fault on that. If this proposal doesn't pass, we will obviously still keep the platform running and paying for the tech costs out of pocket, but given we are both surviving on full time work from Nouns and the tech costs are starting to eat into our salaries in a significant way, help would be appreciated.
Thank you for your time.
