Reflecting on feedback from V1 and V2, we have adjusted our funding request, focusing on a streamlined go-to-market campaign and community-driven design and distribution, without requiring upfront production costs.
Designed to be worn every day and night, the NounsWatch reaches places that the Noggles glasses can't, extending the brand's narrative into an entirely new realm of self-expression. It seamlessly combines nounishness and horology, on the verge of becoming the most personal and novel product Nouns has ever created.
Created by renowned watch designer Rafael Miranda and his company Dwiss, the bold Noggle-inspired design is half a watch and half a ⌐◨-◨, literally. It's as much about functionality as it is about meticulous attention to detail. It features an exquisite mysterious hours full-day half display, with a mirror and a black dial. The hour and minute handles are individual pieces that combines every hour to form the Noggles symbol. (watch the prototype full video explanation here).
In a groundbreaking move, Rafael and Dwiss are weaving all intellectual property rights and making the NounsWatch design freely available in the public domain. This decision reflects a commitment to openness and collaborative progress promoted by Nouns.
In an effort to create awareness and community engagement prior to the launch, a Prop House round will be created for designers to submit their own strap designs.
Three designs will be selected by community. The winners will receive 2 watches each, including their designed straps, adding an incentive for active participation.
We will also be collaborating with influential Dwiss' partner creators within the watch industry as well, leveraging their reach and credibility in order to maximize exposure to Nouns ecosystem.
NounsWatch will be priced at $139 each in a Featured Campaign at Indiegogo (this is a discounted retail price to generate bigger sales and awareness), driving sufficient demand from their nearly 10 million backers to reach out project's break even of production, taxes, credit card expenses and shipping.
